TEHACHAPI, Calif. — A robbery at the Valley Strong Credit Union on May 6, 2026, led to the swift arrest of a suspect by the Tehachapi Police Department, officials confirmed.
Police responded at approximately 4:02 p.m. to a report of a robbery in progress at the bank located on West Tehachapi Boulevard.
The suspect, identified as Moses Luna, a 28-year-old Tehachapi resident, was spotted driving northbound from the bank shortly after the incident. Officers conducted a high-risk stop and detained Luna at gunpoint without further incident.
Authorities say Luna was found in possession of cash stolen during the robbery.
He was arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail on robbery charges.
The case remains under investigation, and no injuries were reported during the incident.
