Troy Johnson faces charges after a string of assaults in Montrose

A man accused of attacking multiple women in Montrose is now in custody. Troy Johnson was booked into the Harris County Jail on Sunday, February 25, 2025, after police linked him to a series of assaults in the area.

Authorities arrested Troy Johnson after he attempted to evade police by climbing a building. He faces charges including:

According to court documents, Johnson attacked at least four women in Montrose between February 16 and February 19. Reports indicate he:

Slapped one woman
Punched another in the back of the head
Followed a woman while yelling and demanding money
The case gained traction after photos and videos circulated online, showing Johnson harassing and assaulting women. One video captured him stalking a woman walking her dog, while other victims shared images taken before or after their alleged attacks.

Victims Speak Out
One victim, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed that she had encountered Johnson twice.

“The first time was on January 21. He rode up on a bike behind me, cussed me out, then threw a ball at my head really hard,” she recalled.

A few weeks later, she says she was attacked again before recognizing him in viral social media posts.

“I made a police report and I’m pressing charges,” she confirmed.

Authorities have not yet confirmed whether her report has been officially tied to Johnson’s case.

The online community played a key role in identifying Johnson, with many women coming forward on Nextdoor and other platforms to report similar experiences.

Johnson’s criminal history reveals he was on probation at the time of these alleged assaults. Law enforcement officials are now urging other potential victims to report any incidents as the investigation continues.
