East Delhi police arrested a 22-year-old man named Monti on Monday for his alleged role in a series of temple burglaries in the Ghazipur area.

Monti, a known serial offender, was apprehended following a theft incident at Hanuman Mandir in Mayur Vihar Phase-3 on July 12.

“During sustained interrogation, Monti confessed to carrying out the theft along with three accomplices. They targeted several temples in Mayur Vihar, New Kondli, and surrounding areas,” said Abhishek Dhania, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East).
