Delhi Police have arrested 39-year-old Mohd Kareem of Jafrabad for allegedly defrauding an ATM user by swapping debit cards and using them to purchase household appliances, a police official stated on Monday.
The arrest followed an investigation into a case registered earlier this month. Authorities reportedly recovered multiple household items allegedly bought with the swapped cards.
Police further revealed that Kareem has prior records of theft and cheating. Investigators are currently working to recover the original debit card and trace the sources of the seized cards, with the case still under active investigation.
