In a brazen robbery incident, a 30-year-old government employee was attacked and robbed of his gold chain by three assailants in southwest Delhi, police said on Tuesday. The incident occurred near Dwarka Mor on February 21 as the victim was driving home.
The accused — Mohar Singh (28), Gorav (22), and Karan (19) — were arrested following a swift investigation. Police examined footage from more than 50 CCTV cameras across Mohan Garden, Bindapur, and Ranhola, which helped identify and track down the suspects.
During interrogation, the trio allegedly confessed to the crime. Police recovered the stolen 11-gram gold chain from their possession.
Investigators revealed that Mohar Singh is a habitual offender with 14 previous criminal cases registered against him, while Gorav has been involved in two prior cases. Further investigation is underway to determine whether the accused were involved in other similar robberies in the area.
