Mohammed Nadim Arrested in Rs200 Cr Asansol Ponzi Case

Asansol North Police have busted a major Ponzi scheme and arrested four individuals from Kolkata in connection with a fraud estimated at over Rs200 crore, which affected several thousand investors.

A team led by Officer-in-Charge SI Amit Haldar and Kanyapur Outpost IC SI Partha Pratim Chakraborty conducted a raid in Kolkata, apprehending Mohammed Nadim, alleged to be the kingpin of the scam. Following his interrogation, police arrested three more associates from different locations in the city.

Police identified Bijoy Pandit as another principal operator of the Ponzi racket. The arrested individuals are being interrogated to trace the full network of the scam and recover the defrauded funds. Investigations are ongoing to identify all victims and bring additional culprits to justice.
