Hyderabad: Telangana police have arrested three men while they were attempting to transport 908.41 kilograms of ganja from Odisha to Maharashtra. The seizure, valued at around Rs2.7 crore, also included a transport vehicle, mobile phones, and cash. The operation was conducted jointly by the South-East Zone Task Force and Bandlaguda Police, officials said.

The accused have been identified as:

Mohammed Kaleem Uddin (32), a heavy vehicle driver from Golconda,

Shaik Sohail (23), an air-conditioning technician from Amberpet,

Mohammed Afzal (25), also from Amberpet, working as an appliance repair technician.

Police said the trio was intercepted while transporting the massive consignment of ganja, which they allegedly intended to sell in Maharashtra. Investigations are ongoing to trace the sources and potential buyers involved in the operation.

Authorities emphasized that such high-value drug seizures are a significant blow to inter-state drug trafficking networks and vowed strict action against those involved in similar crimes.
