The District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (DANSAF) in Kozhikode, Kerala, on Thursday arrested a couple allegedly involved in the inter-State smuggling and sale of synthetic drugs.
The accused have been identified as Mohammed Irfan and his wife, T.C. Nirfana. The arrests came after a tip-off from another suspect who was apprehended last month in possession of 200 grams of MDMA.
Authorities suspect that the couple played a key role in coordinating the movement and distribution of synthetic drugs across state borders. Further investigation is underway to identify additional links and recover contraband.
