The Barke police in Mangaluru have arrested N.M. Mohammed Imran (44), a resident of Tyagaraj Colony, Madikeri, in connection with 12 criminal cases, including seven thefts of passenger bags on KSRTC buses.
Police recovered 46.28 grams of gold jewellery worth Rs6.47 lakh and Rs5,000 in cash from the accused.
Authorities described Mohammed Imran as a habitual offender targeting travellers’ belongings at bus stands. Further investigation is underway to determine if additional accomplices were involved in the crimes
