Hyderabad City Police, in a coordinated operation by the Commissioner’s Task Force West Zone team and Masab Tank Police Station, arrested eight individuals involved in narcotics possession and supply.
The accused include Mohammed Faizan (Masab Tank), Yelagada Navya (Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh), Kundurthi Veerachary, Sam Ajay Kumar, Vemula Harshith, Mohammed Sameer, and consumers Sam Vijay Kumar and Syed Murthuza Ali Hussain.
During the operation, police seized hash oil worth Rs 2.25 lakh, 175 grams of dry ganja, charas, and knives. Faizan was caught with a small box of hash oil and charas concealed in his motorbike, along with two daggers. Further investigation revealed the narcotics originated from Nagpur and were distributed through a network involving Harshith, Sameer, and Ajay.
Yelagada Navya was later apprehended with 71 small boxes of hash oil, reportedly supplied from Andhra Pradesh.
Authorities emphasized that substance abuse can lead to job loss, serious health issues, and permanent criminal records. The ongoing investigation aims to trace the supply chain and dismantle the criminal network involved in this drug trade.
