Miranda Paige Gonzales Arrested in Butler County on Burglary Charges
BUTLER COUNTY, Ala. — On Sunday, August 24, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office arrested Miranda Paige Gonzales, 28, wanted in connection with multiple burglary cases in Crenshaw County. Gonzales was taken into custody near the 7,000 block of Luverne Highway and transported to the Crenshaw County Jail.
Gonzales faces charges including two counts of third-degree burglary and theft of property in the third degree. Initially wanted for questioning regarding several thefts and burglaries, the investigation remains active as authorities seek her cooperation.
The Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Department, with assistance from Butler County deputies, had been searching for Gonzales since August 18. Law enforcement asked the community for help, focusing on areas including Fuller’s Crossroads, Honoraville, McKenzie, and Forest Home.
Chief Deputy Chris Stewart thanked local citizens and Butler County law enforcement for their efforts in locating Gonzales. “A citizen in Butler County did the right thing and reported her location, which allowed us to take her into custody,” Stewart said.
Gonzales is believed to be linked to a series of burglaries involving unlawful property removal from residences in the Luverne area. While three charges have been formally filed, investigators continue to explore her potential involvement in additional cases affecting Crenshaw County and neighboring communities.
“The Butler County Sheriff’s Office stayed on top of the situation and helped us immensely,” said Stewart. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigations.
