Minneapolis Woman Charged After Crashing USPS Truck on Meth

Katie Partridge Faces DUI, Drug Possession Charges in New Brighton

NEW BRIGHTON, Minn. – A Minneapolis woman has been charged with drug possession and driving under the influence (DUI) after allegedly crashing a U.S. Postal Service (USPS) truck while high on methamphetamine.

Crash and Arrest
Authorities say the incident occurred around 11 a.m. on Friday when a USPS truck collided with another vehicle. New Brighton Police responded to the scene, where a post office manager identified 36-year-old Katie Partridge as the driver and suggested she be checked for drug use.

Meth Discovered in Lunchbox
Officers arrested Partridge, and a search of her belongings revealed a gram of white powdery substance inside her lunchbox. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine.

Partridge was formally charged Monday with:

Driving under the influence (DUI)

Drug possession

Her court date has not yet been released.
