Carson City, Nev. (KOLO) – A 53-year-old man, Miky Sears, is in custody after being caught with methamphetamine during a traffic stop in Carson City. The incident occurred on Saturday, February 22, at Goni Road and College Parkway.
According to the Carson City Sheriff’s Office, deputies initially stopped Sears for speeding. During the stop, K9 Cash helped deputies discover 29.63 grams of methamphetamine hidden inside a cleaning container with a false bottom.
Following the discovery, detectives executed a search warrant on Sears’ home and found an additional 141.36 grams of meth inside a trailer on the property. In total, 170.99 grams of methamphetamine were seized.
Sears was booked into the Carson City Jail and is facing multiple charges, including:
4 counts of possession of a controlled substance (3rd offense)
Possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell (3rd offense)
Trafficking a controlled substance (2nd offense)
Habitual criminal
