Tennessee Law Enforcement Arrests Three on Criminal and Immigration Charges
Law enforcement agencies in Davidson and Knox Counties recently arrested three individuals now facing immigration-related holds by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In Davidson County, 32-year-old Rogelio Arpero-Muril was taken into custody on July 1. He has been charged with theft of merchandise valued at $1,000 or less. Arpero-Muril is being held at the Downtown Detention Center on a $5,000 bond and is currently under an ICE detainer, indicating potential immigration-related proceedings.
Meanwhile, in Knox County, 43-year-old Miguel Juan Andres-Pedro was arrested and faces serious charges, including statutory rape, rape, and two counts of sexual battery by an authority figure. He also remains in custody under an ICE hold, pending further investigation and immigration processing.
Additionally, 25-year-old Lesoli Daviana Ronquillo-Castellanos is listed in the Knox County inmate roster as being held on an immigration detainer, though no criminal charges have been filed against her at this time.
Authorities note that these detainers typically suggest that the individuals may be in the U.S. without legal immigration status. They will remain in local custody until transferred to ICE for potential deportation or immigration hearings.
