Michael Wright & Amanda Andrews Arrested in Drug Raid

Clay County meth and marijuana bust leads to arrests

CLAY COUNTY, Ala. — The Clay County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, working with Lineville and Ashland police departments, executed a search warrant on January 7, 2026, at a residence on Highway 49 in the Shinbone community.

The operation led to the seizure of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and firearms, and resulted in the arrests of two local residents, Michael Wright and Amanda Andrews, both from Delta.

Wright faces multiple charges, including trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, chemical endangerment of a child, and first-degree possession of marijuana. Andrews faces similar charges.

Sheriff Henry Lambert praised the collaboration between the deputies, police departments, Clay County Rescue Squad, and the Clay County District Attorney’s Office for their roles in the investigation.

Authorities said the case remains under further investigation.
