APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A Hesperia man has been arrested following a robbery at a Target store in Apple Valley and a subsequent search of his home that turned up illegal weapons and drugs.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred on June 17, 2025, when a male suspect entered the Target at 19201 Bear Valley Road. He allegedly walked out with stolen merchandise, bypassing checkout, and pushed an employee who tried to intervene.
Deputies identified the suspect as 48-year-old Michael Warnock, and a search warrant was obtained for his residence. On June 20, deputies executed the warrant at Warnock’s Hesperia home, where they recovered brass knuckles, suspected methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
Warnock was arrested without incident and booked at High Desert Detention Center on charges of robbery, possession of metal knuckles, and two misdemeanor warrants. He is currently being held on $50,000 bail.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not ruled out additional charges.
