GLEN ULLIN, ND (KXNET) — Michael Skorick was arrested after a violent assault and theft incident in Glen Ullin on July 31.
According to Morton County deputies, the victim reported that Skorick choked him, burned his face with a lighter, threw a chair at him, and threatened to kill him. Skorick then stole the victim’s car, wallet, and phone.
Skorick was found by deputies near Highway 49 after a witness reported the suspect had swapped clothes with another man.
When questioned, Skorick admitted to putting the victim in a full nelson hold after the victim exposed himself.
Skorick faces two felony charges: aggravated assault and terrorizing. He has a court hearing scheduled in September, with a trial set for November 18 in Mandan.
