

(4-28-25) – Two men were arrested in Mercer County today on charges related to theft by deception, both of which are 5th-degree felonies.
Michael Melvin, 34, was indicted on April 24 for an incident that occurred on April 13. A warrant was issued for his arrest on April 25, and he was taken into custody today by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently being held without bond at the Mercer County Adult Detention Center, pending a hearing in the Mercer County Common Pleas Court.
A second individual, Woods, was also arrested in connection with the same theft charges. He is being held on a $50,000 (10%) bond and will also appear before the Mercer County Common Pleas Court for a hearing.
Both men are awaiting legal proceedings related to the theft charges.
