Michael Jacob Arrested for Petty Theft in Celina

Released Same Day; Awaits Hearing in Celina Municipal Court

CELINA, OH (7-7-25) – Michael Jacob, 66, of Celina, was arrested on Sunday by Celina Police on a first-degree misdemeanor theft charge, according to local authorities.

The charge stems from the alleged theft of property valued at under $1,000, qualifying as petty theft under Ohio law. Jacob was booked into the Mercer County Adult Detention Center and released later the same day.

He is currently awaiting a hearing in Celina Municipal Court.

In Ohio, a conviction for first-degree misdemeanor theft may carry penalties of up to 180 days in jail and fines up to $1,000.
