LIVERPOOL, UK – An 83-year-old man from the Netherlands has been jailed after exposing himself to a 15-year-old girl in Warrington during a series of sexually explicit Skype calls.
Michael Aley, of Nassau Odijkstraat, was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on July 9 to 10 months in prison and a further 10 months on licence, after pleading guilty to causing a child to watch a sexual act.
The disturbing incidents occurred between May and July 2021, when Aley engaged in sexualised conversations and repeatedly exposed himself to the vulnerable teenager online. Despite being issued with a postal requisition to attend court in the UK, Aley initially failed to comply and remained in the Netherlands.
He was later extradited on May 9, landing at Heathrow Airport, where he was immediately arrested by UK authorities. Aley pleaded guilty the next day and has now been ordered to register as a sex offender for 10 years.
Following sentencing, he will be returned to the Netherlands to serve his prison term.
