Micah Harris Arrested for Attempted Armed Robbery and Assault in Chicago

28-year-old faces multiple felony charges after West Side incident

Micah Harris, 28, was taken into custody Monday night on Chicago’s West Side after allegedly attempting to rob a business and assaulting a 58-year-old woman, Chicago police reported.

The arrest occurred around 11:30 p.m. near the 3400 block of West Roosevelt Road, just minutes after the attempted robbery. Officers found Harris in possession of a loaded firearm and narcotics at the time of his arrest.

Harris faces several felony charges including attempted armed robbery, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated unlawful restraint, and possession of a loaded weapon without a FOID card. He also faces a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

The victim’s condition has not been disclosed by authorities. Harris is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday to answer to the charges.
