MESA COUNTY, Colo. — Three people were arrested Monday following two separate traffic stops for alleged drug possession, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.
The first stop occurred around 3 a.m. on the I-70 Business Loop in Clifton. Deputies reported discovering methamphetamine and a prescription pill bottle that did not belong to the driver or passenger. The two individuals, 37-year-old David Miller and 38-year-old Melanie Sale, were taken into custody.
Later that evening, around 10:15 p.m., deputies conducted another traffic stop on 29-and-a-Half Road. During the stop, 50-year-old Gary Harvey, a passenger in the vehicle, was found in possession of suspected crack cocaine and counterfeit fentanyl pills.
All three suspects were transported to the Mesa County Jail and face multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance.
