In a series of successful operations, Shahkot and Nakodar Sadar police arrested multiple individuals involved in drug peddling on Friday.
The Shahkot police apprehended Meetu, also known as Meeta, a resident of Malsian, and recovered 4 grams of heroin from his possession. In a separate operation, Nakodar Sadar police arrested Joga Singh from Billi Chao village with 15 intoxicating tablets.
Additionally, two more accused — Ajay and Anthoni from Malrri village — were caught with 115 intoxicating tablets. All the accused have been booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to intensifying efforts against narcotics in the region and maintaining public safety. Investigations are ongoing to trace the supply chain.
