Maykel Hernandez, Javier Guerra-Morales Get 30 Years for Heists

Trio stole $1.3M in jewelry, cut through store roofs to evade alarms

ATLANTA, GA – Three men have pleaded guilty to a multi-state jewelry store burglary spree, causing losses of $1.3 million, according to the Cherokee County District Attorney’s Office.

The Convicted Men:
🔹 Maykel Olides Hernandez – 30-year sentence, 13 years in confinement
🔹 Javier Guerra-Morales – 20-year sentence, 9 years in confinement
🔹 Giorge Navea – 25-year sentence, 10 years in confinement

The Crimes:
Locations: Georgia (Cherokee, Forsyth, Cobb, Fulton Counties) & Knox County, TN
Timeframe: December 2022 – March 2023
Method: The trio cut through roofs to disable alarms, making the thefts appear as false alerts
Charges: Violation of RICO Act, smash and grab burglary, theft, criminal damage, and possession of burglary tools
Additional Penalties:
✅ $1.3M restitution
✅ Banned from Cherokee County
✅ No contact with each other

Authorities say their highly coordinated tactics caused significant damage to the targeted businesses.
