Maximus Dean Greim, 22, appeared in federal court in Amarillo, Texas, to be sentenced for a robbery targeting a drug dealer in 2024. Greim and co-defendant Trevor Michael Phipps, 27, faced charges including affecting commerce by robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and brandishing a firearm during a violent crime.

The robbery occurred on October 19, 2024, near Shasta Drive and Everest Lane. Victims reported that Greim struck one of them with a silver revolver while demanding money, fentanyl pills, and a cell phone.

Following the robbery, law enforcement tracked the trio to a Walmart EcoATM kiosk, where Greim was seen selling an iPhone 15 Pro from the stolen items, receiving $110.

Greim was arrested two days later on a DWI warrant and held at Randall County Jail. During a jail phone call, Phipps was overheard advising Greim not to speak with officers.

Phipps initially denied involvement but later admitted to attending the meeting disguised with a mask and assisting Greim in the robbery, including receiving proceeds from the phone sale.

Phone records revealed Greim and Phipps planned the fentanyl theft the night before the crime. During the robbery, a victim brandished a fake gun, prompting Greim to draw a .38 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver, which he admitted to pointing at the victim.

U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk sentenced Greim to 64 months in federal prison, followed by two years of supervised release. Sentencing for Phipps is set for November 13.
