Man accused of illegally obtaining goods over $300

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A Palm Beach County man was arrested early Thursday morning on allegations of credit card fraud, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO).

Authorities identified the suspect as Maurice Hart, who allegedly used credit cards illegally to obtain goods valued at $300 or more, a felony under Florida law. The arrest is documented under Report No. 395393, published at 1:19 a.m. on Jan. 8, 2026.

PBSO reports list Hart as a Black male. Officials have not released additional details regarding the number of cards involved, the location of the alleged incidents, or whether the alleged activity is part of a larger investigation.

Credit card fraud investigations often involve unauthorized use, stolen financial information, or deceptive practices to obtain goods or services. Authorities have not indicated whether further charges could follow.
