SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. — An 18-year-old man from Gulf Breeze, Florida, is facing multiple felony charges related to child sexual abuse material.
Matthew McChesney was arrested on July 14 on an out-of-county warrant and is charged with 20 counts of possession of child pornography and 3 counts of trading child pornography.
According to an arrest report from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, McChesney was found with explicit photos and videos depicting children between the ages of 3 and 14. Authorities say he also shared the material in an online chat room.
McChesney was released from custody after posting a $115,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 8.
Law enforcement officials are continuing to investigate the case and have urged anyone with related information to come forward.
