Matthew Marshall Arrested for Social Media Threats Against Dodge County Sheriff’s Office
HAYFIELD, Minn. — A Hayfield man is facing a felony charge after allegedly making violent threats online against the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
On Sunday, officials were alerted to a Facebook post made by Matthew Marshall, 37, in which he allegedly threatened to shoot law enforcement. Dodge County deputies arrested Marshall shortly afterward.
During the arrest, Marshall reportedly tried to flee into his home, leading to an additional charge of obstructing the legal process.
He appeared in court Monday and is scheduled for a Rule 8 hearing on August 20.
