Matthew Lolley Arrested for Stealing Tucson Fire Truck

Suspect drove stolen TFD vehicle to nearby hospital

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) — A man is in custody after allegedly stealing a Tucson Fire Department (TFD) pickup truck during an emergency medical call on Monday evening, July 7.

According to the Tucson Police Department (TPD), 55-year-old Matthew Lolley entered the unattended emergency vehicle in the 300 block of North Wilmot Road while fire personnel were assisting a patient.

Lolley reportedly drove the truck less than half a mile, stopping near the entrance to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where TPD officers quickly located and arrested him.

He now faces charges of theft of means of transportation. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported in the incident.
