Atmore, AL — A Brewton man has been arrested on multiple charges related to theft and credit card fraud, according to the Atmore Police Department.

Marshall Shaddix, 52, was taken into custody on June 17, 2025, following an investigation that began in March. Sgt. Darrell McMann, Public Information Officer, stated that the arrest stemmed from a warrant for theft of property in the first degree and illegal possession of a credit/debit card.

The investigation began on March 13, 2025, when an Atmore Police investigator received a report of unauthorized credit card use. Authorities later determined that Shaddix had allegedly obtained the victim’s debit card number and made several thousand dollars in fraudulent charges.

Shaddix was booked into the Escambia County Detention Center following his arrest.

No further details have been released at this time as the investigation continues.
