Marquis Johnson Arrested in Honolulu Acid Attack Case

Suspect Turns Himself in After Chinatown Assault

HONOLULU (Island News) – Honolulu Police have arrested a suspect linked to the recent acid attack in Chinatown that left a man critically injured.

Marquis Johnson, 34, was taken into custody at 5:35 p.m. after voluntarily turning himself in at HPD’s main police station. Detectives from the Strategic Enforcement Detail arrested him on suspicion of Assault in the First Degree.

The case is now being reviewed by the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney for formal charges.
