Marquis Edric Robinson Arrested in Aiken County Murder

17-year-old charged in fatal June 22 shooting in Warrenville

WARRENVILLE, S.C. (WJBF) – Authorities have arrested 17-year-old Marquis Edric Robinson in connection with the June 22 shooting death of Tranard Sheppard in Warrenville.

The fatal incident took place on Sarah Street, where Sheppard was shot and killed. Following an investigation, Robinson, a resident of North Augusta, was charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.

He was taken into custody on July 2 by the Cayce Department of Public Safety.

The arrest was made with assistance from multiple agencies, including the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), the 2nd Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office, the ATF task force, and the U.S. Marshals.

Robinson is currently being held at the Aiken County Detention Center as the legal process continues.
