Marquet Devon Turk Jr. Arrested in Father’s Fatal Opelika Shooting
OPELIKA, Ala. (WTVM) – A man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of his father in Opelika.
Police officials report that 23-year-old Marquet Devon Turk Jr. was captured in Montgomery just hours after the incident. Officers had responded to a call at Woodbend Apartments on Waverly Parkway shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Upon arrival, they found 43-year-old Marquet Devon Turk Sr. suffering from gunshot wounds and later pronounced him dead at the scene.
Turk Jr. has been charged with the murder of his father and is currently being held at the Lee County Jail.
