Rochester, N.Y. — A 37-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery that took place earlier this month in Rochester’s North Winton Village neighborhood.

Police say Marleny Aguasvivas entered the ESL Federal Credit Union on Merchants Road on March 20 while wearing a medical mask. Once inside, she reportedly handed a teller a note stating that she had a gun and demanded money.

Aguasvivas then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.

She was taken into custody on Monday, and has been charged with third-degree robbery. Her arraignment is scheduled for Monday evening.
