Warrington Police Charge Former U-Haul Employee in $9.6K Credit Card Theft

WARRINGTON, PA — A former U-Haul employee, Mark Chamberlain of Greenway Avenue in Darby, Pennsylvania, has been charged with multiple counts of theft and unauthorized use of a company credit card, according to court filings.

Police say the 2023 investigation revealed that Chamberlain, while employed at the U-Haul center on Titus Avenue, was entrusted with a company-issued gas card, which he allegedly misused 119 times for unauthorized purchases.

The total amount charged to the card exceeded $9,600, investigators reported. Chamberlain was terminated from his position in August 2023 after internal reviews raised concerns over irregular transactions.

Following a detailed police investigation, an arrest warrant was issued. Chamberlain turned himself in earlier this month and was released on $30,000 unsecured bail.

He now faces multiple charges related to theft and fraudulent use of company property. Court proceedings are pending.
