Marion Man Harley Losure Arrested in Undercover Drug Operation

Officers say suspect resisted arrest, found with meth and paraphernalia

by Sophia Bennett

A 41-year-old Marion man was arrested following an undercover police operation outside a local business. Harley Losure was taken into custody on September 30 on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, resisting law enforcement, and possession of paraphernalia.

According to the police report, officers conducting the operation recognized Losure from prior encounters and were aware he had an active warrant. When they approached and informed him of the warrant, Losure allegedly resisted as officers attempted to handcuff him, pulling away and trying to break free. Once restrained, he continued to struggle until a transport unit arrived.

During a search, officers reportedly found a crystal-like substance and a glass smoking pipe on Losure. The substance, weighing about 2 grams, tested presumptively positive for methamphetamine.

Losure was booked into the Grant County Jail, where he remains held on a $35,000 bond due to previous pending cases. Court records show his initial hearing was held October 2 in Grant Circuit Court. His next pretrial conference is scheduled for January 7, with a jury trial set for February 9.
