EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 40-year-old man, Mario Jesus Gomez, was arrested on Monday, May 5, in El Paso on multiple warrants related to sex crimes involving a child, according to the El Paso County Constable’s Office for Precinct 3.
Gomez faces serious felony charges, including:
Two counts of aggravated sexual assault
Two counts of indecency with a child by contact
Continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14
His total bond has been set at $125,000.
The Constable’s Office reported that Gomez was located at the 11700 block of Bell Tower Drive and taken into custody. He was then booked into the El Paso County Jail in Downtown El Paso.
Authorities say this arrest follows a previous arrest last month by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, suggesting Gomez may have violated the conditions of a prior release.
The public is encouraged to report individuals who have violated bond conditions or are wanted fugitives by contacting Crime Stoppers of El Paso at (915) 566-TIPS (8477).
