Marcus Jamal Love Arrested After Stolen Car Crash in Hopkinsville

Suspect Tried to Flee Scene Following Vehicle Ditch Incident

Hopkinsville Police arrested 37-year-old Marcus Jamal Love on Friday after he drove a stolen vehicle into a ditch and tried to leave the scene.

Officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash near Firestone on Fort Campbell Boulevard. The vehicle was found in a ditch, but Love and a female passenger were seen walking away from the wreck.

Police caught up to the pair, and Love attempted to flee again but was apprehended in a nearby Harbor Freight parking lot. Upon investigation, officers confirmed the vehicle had been stolen from Todd County.

Love faces multiple charges including second-degree fleeing or evading police, theft by unlawful taking of an automobile, leaving the scene of an accident without rendering aid, careless driving, resisting arrest, driving without a license, and failure to maintain insurance.
