A Bellefontaine man, Marcus Cobb, was arrested on Christmas Eve following a disturbance on the 500 block of South Detroit Street, according to the Bellefontaine Police Department.
Police were called shortly after 5:30 p.m. about an intoxicated man yelling behind a residence. Officers say Cobb ignored repeated commands to stop, appeared unsteady, and displayed clear signs of intoxication.
Cobb, 43, was taken into custody and charged with aggravated menacing, disorderly conduct, and a probation violation, according to the Logan County Jail roster. Court records show he has an extensive criminal history.
During the investigation, officers reported that Cobb allegedly punched an adult male and threatened others, including a juvenile. The threats were later confirmed by the juvenile and her mother.
Due to his behavior at the jail, Cobb had to be placed in a restraint chair. He is expected to make an initial court appearance next week.
Authorities say more details will be released after the holiday weekend, and the incident remains under investigation.
