The Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Nagpur police has arrested 41-year-old Manoj Pelane for allegedly murdering his younger brother over suspicions of an illicit relationship with his wife.
Manoj, a resident of Khedi village under the Kuhi police station jurisdiction, was taken into custody following the discovery of an unidentified body near a nullah close to Shravan Ghormare’s farm on August 28. The body was found with its feet tied, raising suspicions.
During a thorough investigation and interrogation, Manoj confessed to killing his brother, Shishupal, on Padwa day. He reportedly bludgeoned Shishupal to death, driven by suspicion of an affair between Shishupal and his wife, before disposing of the body in the nullah.
