In a coordinated effort against drug trafficking, the Philobari and Kakopathar Police under Tinsukia district, Assam, arrested a key suspect, Manoj Kumar Sharma, alias Munna, for his involvement in the illegal drug trade.
Sharma, a notorious drug trafficker from Amguri, had long been under surveillance due to his criminal activities. His network had already attracted attention when his two sons were arrested in Chabua for drug possession.
Despite multiple raids at his residence in Amguri, Sharma had managed to evade arrest, often fleeing the scene and defying law enforcement efforts.
During the latest operation, authorities seized approximately 12 grams of suspected contraband from Sharma’s possession. Additionally, a Glamour motorcycle, believed to be used in his trafficking activities, was also confiscated as part of the ongoing investigation.
