Adilabad Police have arrested two individuals for allegedly cheating people by promising government contract jobs through a fake organisation. According to the Two Town Inspector, the victim, Mohammad Yakub, was approached by Geddam Manoj, who claimed he could secure government jobs for Yakub’s family members through an entity called Care Foundation Science Innovation. Trusting him, the victim paid several lakhs of rupees.
Manoj reportedly handed the collected money to another accused, Chandrayya, who, along with Manoj, kept a commission before passing the remainder to the prime accused, Sujatha. Police suspect that 10–15 more people in the town may have been duped using the same method.
The fraudsters allegedly collected Rs1 lakh to Rs1.5 lakh from each victim, promising secure contract jobs in various government departments. Authorities confirmed that two of the accused have been arrested and remanded, while investigations are underway to trace Sujatha and identify additional victims.
Police have urged the public to stay alert and avoid falling prey to job scams that demand money upfront.
