SEATTLE, Wash. — Manjot Singh, a 25-year-old Indian national with a history of serious criminal offenses, has been arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and now faces deportation proceedings.
According to a statement from ICE, Singh has been repeatedly arrested by local law enforcement over the past few years. His criminal record includes robbery, theft, assault, criminal impersonation, and driving under the influence (DUI).
He was taken into custody earlier this month in the Seattle area during a joint operation led by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Seattle, in collaboration with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and U.S. Border Patrol’s Blaine Sector.
Singh was initially booked into the Whatcom County Jail and later transferred to federal custody, where he remains pending removal.
“Manjot Singh remains in ICE custody awaiting removal,” the agency confirmed in a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter).
ICE further stated that Singh entered the United States illegally, though the agency did not specify when or how his unlawful entry occurred. Authorities cited his case as an example of immigration enforcement targeting individuals with repeat criminal behavior.
