Manjinder Singh Bura Arrested in $1.5M Freight Theft Case

Brampton trucking company linked to cargo theft, fraud scheme

by Amelia Crawford

BRAMPTON, ON – Peel Regional Police have arrested Manjinder Singh Bura, 41, in connection with a $1.5 million freight theft operation involving stolen cargo and fraudulent trucking transactions.

From December 2024 to January 2025, authorities received multiple reports of stolen freight-loaded trailers, allegedly taken by All Days Trucking, a now-expired Saskatoon-based company.

Investigators say the suspects used a third-party platform to contact victims, offering discounted transportation services. After securing deals, they dispatched other trucking companies—some believed to be involved in the thefts—to pick up trailers. Once the cargo was collected, all communication with victims was cut off.

The investigation led police to Bura Limited Inc., owned by Bura, where authorities discovered several stolen trailers and freight.

On Feb. 19, officers executed seven search warrants across six trucking yards and a residential address linked to Bura. This led to the recovery of multiple stolen trailers and cargo.

Charges & Ongoing Investigation
Bura faces several charges, including:

Five counts of theft over $5,000
Five counts of fraud over $5,000
Possession of property obtained by crime
Authorities believe additional individuals may be involved. The investigation remains ongoing, and police urge anyone with information to come forward.
