In a late-night joint operation on Tuesday, the Bihar Special Task Force (STF) and city police arrested Manish Kumar, a wanted criminal linked to multiple bank robbery cases across the state.
The arrest took place in the Jeevankachak area under Didarganj police station limits. Authorities confirmed Kumar’s involvement in high-profile robberies at Union Bank of India branches in Kadamkuan, Vaishali (Goraul), Ekangarsarai (Nalanda), and Parsa Bazaar.
According to investigators, Manish Kumar is a key associate of the notorious land mafia gang led by Sunil Bhaisia, known for its extensive criminal operations involving both financial crimes and land disputes.
Police say further interrogations and follow-up operations are underway to dismantle the network and trace other gang members involved in coordinated bank heists.
