The Crime Branch of the local police arrested Manish Arora, a resident of Rathpur Colony, Pinjore, for his alleged involvement in multiple burglaries across the city. The arrest was made following an investigation into a residential theft case filed at the Pinjore Police Station.

According to the complaint by Jyoti Ram, also from Rathpur, his home was burgled while he was visiting his daughter in Naraingarh on April 25. Upon returning three days later, he found the lock broken and valuables missing — including two gas cylinders, a gas stove, and Rs20,000 in cash.

During the ongoing investigation, acting on a tip-off, a Crime Branch team led by ACP Arvind Kamboj raided the Surajpur Adda area and apprehended Manish Arora. Police recovered two of the stolen gas cylinders from his possession.

Manish Arora was produced in court and has been remanded to police custody for one day. During the remand, officials will focus on recovering the remaining stolen items and probing his connection to at least three other residential burglary cases registered at different police stations.

Police say further arrests may follow as investigations continue.
