Manipur Police have arrested two young men in connection with an alleged indecent assault on a minor in Tellou Mayai Leikai, under Lamlai Police Station in Imphal East district.
The incident has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, highlighting the severity and sensitivity of the case.
The accused—20-year-old Kshtrimayum Ajoy of Tellou Mayai Leikai and 21-year-old Mangsatabam Ajay from Nongada Kameng Khunjao—were taken into custody on July 20 following a prompt police response.
Authorities have assured the public that the investigation is ongoing and that all legal protocols under the POCSO Act are being followed to ensure justice for the minor victim.
