Manipur police arrested a 35-year-old woman, Ruhina, during a raid at her residence in Sangaiyumpham Cherapur Mathak Leikai, Thoubal district, on September 9. The operation led to the recovery of a significant quantity of restricted pharmaceutical drugs.
Authorities seized 120 SAMPFX+ capsules, 29 bottles of TUSSREX-TR cough syrup, eight empty concealment cases, and several identification documents during the search conducted under Thoubal police station. All items were confiscated for further investigation.
On the same day, police arrested a 22-year-old man, Bangkin Oinam from Heingang Mayai Leikai, in the North AOC area of Imphal West district. A total of 6.955 kilograms of cannabis was recovered from his possession.
Both cases are currently under investigation as part of ongoing efforts by Manipur police to curb the flow of illegal drugs and contraband within the state.
