Late Friday night, two suspects, Manguli Das and Bikash Das, allegedly attempted a robbery at a residence in Balichandrapur, which led to a tragic outcome. During a violent altercation, Koushalya Pati was fatally injured, and Mamata sustained severe wounds.
After Mamata filed a report with the police, Balichandrapur authorities registered Case No. 96/25 and launched an intensive investigation. The suspects were quickly arrested after Mamata identified them. The police conducted a thorough reenactment of the crime scene, including video documentation, before formally charging the accused and presenting them in court.
Investigations are ongoing to determine if this attack is linked to a broader pattern of criminal activity, as the community remains shaken by the brutality of the crime.
