In a significant operation, the Mangaluru city police have arrested Abdul Aseer, a close associate of notorious gangster Kali Yogish, after intercepting a large drug consignment in Nanthoor, Mangaluru. The police seized 53 grams of MDMA worth approximately Rs 5 lakh from his possession.
Acting on a tip-off, the police apprehended Abdul Aseer, 32, while he was allegedly selling narcotics after arriving from Kasaragod. He was involved in the distribution of MDMA, a highly potent drug that has been linked to multiple cases of drug abuse and trafficking in the region.
This arrest is part of the Mangaluru Police’s ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking and criminal syndicates. Abdul Aseer’s connection to gangster Kali Yogish highlights the growing nexus between underworld operatives and drug trafficking networks.
The police have filed charges against Aseer, and further investigations are underway to dismantle the larger criminal network. Authorities have urged the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to narcotics trafficking.
